Our deer hunting is archery (bow and crossbow) only, no fire arms. All our hunts are semi-guided and we will do all we can to assist you and share what we know about the hunting grounds. We have a few ladder stands and blinds on the property but hunters are encouraged to bring their own. With the terrain a stand will often give the best advantage and opportunity. We require that a safety harness be used with any above the ground stand.
With all the different types of terrain on the farm and the different types of situations you may encounter, there is no one “best” spot to hunt. Although a hunter may find a “favorite” spot to hunt.
All deer hunting is fair chase (no high fences) and the deer are there! But,there is no guarantee that a hunter will fill a tag.
We have established a few guidelines for the minimum age and size of deer that may be harvested. Our goal is to allow the deer to reach a minimum of 3 years old with a score of 120. We also emphasize the importance of harvesting does to maintain a good doe to buck ratio.
There have been many sightings of large bucks on the hunting property of 150, 160 and bigger. Due to the terrain type located here the hunter must always be on their toes as a good trophy buck may step out of the thicket or top the next hill at any time.
All hunts are 5 days, Monday through Friday. Your hunting session begins with your arrival on the farm the afternoon before your scheduled hunt and departing the evening your hunt ends or no later than the following morning. All hunting is priced per person for a 5 day hunt.
